Tarmac playground extension, ​Wellingborough Primary School, Northamptonshire

This job was an asphalt/tarmac extension of an existing play area for the school, which replaced and resurfaced an untidy and messy grass area.

Initially we secured the site using HERAS fencing and barriers etc as the school was open during the works.

The works consisted of, excavation and removal of arisings, installation of 50 linear metres of PCC edgings, installation and compaction of a granular sub base, resetting of existing ironwork to suit new levels, final trimming and laying of new asphalt / tarmac binder and surface courses.

The client is delighted with the finished job, and pleased that we managed to fit this one in for them before the Christmas break.
